Environmental Management Systems (uncertified and certified),
have higher corporate governance quality and publicly report to the CDP,
they tend to be large and in the energy, banking, power, FMCG, government, Pharmaceutical, ITC, resources, mining and industrial sectors.

The credibility and extent of disclosures are related to the existence of a certified EMS, public reporting to the CDP, and use of the Robust Carbon or GHG reporting structures such as ISO 14064.
