  • Brian is the Director of Carbon Action, a safety and environmental services consultancy based in London. Prior to joining the Group, Brian held a series of senior commercial and operational roles at International Paper in the US and Ireland, and served as Managing Director for Gategourmet Ireland, an aviation services company, for 10 years. Brian is a trained carbon professional comfortable in directing C Suite level executives on how to develop and implement the right carbon strategies for them. He has advised clients in Climate Tech, Waste, Pharma, Oil and Gas and other verticals around the world – and is recognised for combining his carbon, commercial and operational backgrounds to add value. Brian holds a BComm from University College Dublin and an MBA from Boston College.

His unique blend of academic background (Master’s in Environmental Health & Safety, Bachelor’s in Sustainable & Electrical Power Systems) and real-world experience (achieving Origin Green certification twice in the Food industry) provides him with an insightful and practical approach.

  • As a MSc graduate from the Amsterdam Sustainability Institute at Vrije Universiteit, Niall is passionate about driving positive environmental impact. As an experienced environmental consultant with a technical understanding of ISO standards including ISO 14064-1, ISO 14064-2, and ISO 14064-3 I specialise in greenhouse gas (GHG) quantifications at the corporate level, GHG inventory verification and validations, and various environmental services. Niall brings a comprehensive skill set in project management, policy development, and adherence to the most up to date sustainability standards and regulations, helping companies achieve their sustainability goals.

    Darren O'Keeffe

    Darren O’Keeffe, Consultancy Director

    Darren has been with Occupli/ Carbon Action for 18 years and a director of Occupli for 13 years. He is a member of the senior leadership team and responsible for the commercial performance of the Consultancy Division of Occupli since 2007. During that period the company has become one of the largest independent providers of EHS related services in the country.

    The Consultancy Division has developed a particular expertise and track record in occupational hygiene, ergonomics, process & chemical safety, fire safety and construction safety management and a very strong client base among Irish and international multinational sector, semi-state, and state organisations across all industry sectors.

    Darren is Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and an Associate Member of the Irish Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.

    He holds an MBS from IMI/UCC, a Postgraduate Diploma in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management from the University of Leicester and a Diploma in Safety Health and Welfare at Work from University College Cork.

As the lead trainer for Carbon Action’s ISO 14064 series, he imparts his knowledge to professionals seeking accreditation. Ronan’s focus on stakeholder engagement and risk management ensures ESG metrics are reliably met. With certifications in GHG management and extensive project management skills, Ronan is committed to guiding organizations towards sustainable practices and operational excellence.
