Carbon Emissions & Climate Change Courses

ISO14064 & Sustainability Training – Online & Classroom

Carbon Action is a leading provider of Climate change and Carbon training Courses globally.  All our courses are fully certified and developed by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and are based on ISO 14064, the only globally recognised standard.  The CSA are based in Toronto, Canada and are internationally recognised as the world leading experts in carbon emissions course development.  They were appointed by the UN and acted as the world secretariat for ISO 14064 development process.  Please scroll down to see our three main CSA certified training courses links below.  All courses are delivered both online and in the classroom.

The first course is our most popular and is the Carbon Foot-printing course (otherwise known as carbon Quantification or measurement).   This course is based on the universal standard ISO 14064 – part 1.  Part 1 deals specifically with carbon foot printing quantification.  It is greatly in demand for NGOs, Governmental bodies and businesses who need/wish to quantify their own emissions accurately.  The second course deals with Carbon Reduction, Sustainability and Projects and is based on ISO 14064 – part 2.  This training course outlines how to correctly reduce your environmental impact and increase your sustainability in accordance with the standard.  This course is very suitable and beneficial for individuals managing Carbon Reduction Projects and GHG emissions and is a great CV enhancement.

The third course is about carbon verification and validation of carbon projects and is based around ISO 14064 – part 3.  This course details the correct ISO approved methodology to verify greenhouse gas emissions.  By using the correct verification and validation methodology one can provide an independent and correct assessment of the data associated with a GHG inventory or Carbon Reduction project.  Carbon Action’s  climate change training courses are based on the universally accepted Greenhouse Gas (GHG) ISO 14064 and the GHG Protocol.

  • ISO 14064-3:2019 Validation and Verification of GHG Inventories and GHG Projects

This course details the correct ISO approved methodology to verify Greenhouse Gas emissions.  Only by using the correct verification methodology can one provide the independent and correct assessment of the data associated with a GHG inventory or project. Our 3-day course will provide you with the detailed training and specific examples of how verification should be applied to a GHG inventory.

    GHG Verification using ISO 14064-3:

Verification is the systematic, independent and documented process for the evaluation of a greenhouse gas assertion against agreed verification criteria.  Verification provides an independent assessment of the data associated with a GHG inventory or project and typically offers an opinion on the accuracy of the estimates or measurements, thus giving confidence to others interested in the results.

    Who should attend this course?

    • Auditors
    • Chartered Accountants
    • Professional Engineers interested in offering  verification services
    • Those involved in national and international regulated GHG programs
